Notes : Tolerant of poor soil and little water, but will thrive if well cared for. Usually a multi-stemmed shrub, but the lower branches may be pruned away to encourage a tree like habit. Makes a good hedge or screen plant. The glossy foliage is long and slender and the small green to yellow flowers are decorative, although short-lived. The pretty fruits are a greenish red colour. Can withstand fairly heavy frost. Easily propagated from seed.
