Apart from the aesthetic value, the largest living organism on earth is a tree – one of the famous Redwood trees in America. A tree is a true ally to man: it gives shade and shelter, purifies the air and creates humidity from it, shelters from wind, blocks out traffic noises and decelerates erosion.
Trees are certainly one of the biggest providers in nature: they are constantly producing leaves, pollen, nectar, fruit and bark and in doing so provide material for the never-ending food chain that keep nature alive and moving.
They release oxygen into the atmosphere while, at the same time, carbon dioxide gets taken out of it. One large tree produces enough oxygen for a family of four and also does the work of four air-conditioners.
What are the benefits of planting trees in a house garden?
