Notes : The Mountain Karee is evergreen under favourable conditions and is fairly drought resistant. An excellent shade tree for the garden and street planting. To increase the moderate growth rate, enrich the soil and keep it moist. The bark is rough, deeply furrowed and either dark brown or grey. It has reddish branches with a rounded, drooping crown of light green leaves. Sprays of small yellow flowers are followed by small, shiny fruits which are yellow brown to brown when ripe. Doves and other birds love them. Can be propagated from seed or cuttings.
