Notes: Yucca gloriosa has a short trunk with a rosette of narrow, lanceolate leaves and one metre spikes on which bell-shaped flowers are produced at intevals in summer.

 

Yucca elephantipes, called the dagger plant is an ideal accent plant for a container. Needs good light and must dry out before watering.

 

Yucca aloifolia 'Marginata' grows to about 3 metres and forms stiff rosettes of dagger-like leaves about 6cm wide and almost a metre long. Leaves are green with creamy-yellow margins. Has panicles of creamy-white cup-shaped flowers tinged with purple.
