Notes : Our indigenous white Arum is one of the most popular garden plants in the world. This plant loves damp, marshy conditions, looking natural next to a stream or pond. A good companion for other water-loving plants like Ferns, Elephant's Ears, Irises and Gunnera. In the winter rainfall regions the Arum flowers earlier - winter and spring - than it does in the summer rainfall regions. It dies down for a short period from mid-summer to early autumn, but will remain evergreen in moist places. Other varieties have pink or yellow flowers. Indigenous to the South Western Cape, and the moist parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State. Not suited to very dry regions. Protect from frost in very cold areas.Water regularly, especially in winter and early spring.
